Apsara Creative internships
The Apsara Creative Internship Program is a mentorship-based professional development opportunity created in collaboration with the Owner and Creative Director of The Apsara Creative LLC.
The program is designed to support individuals who have graduated from high school, are currently pursuing higher education, or have recently completed their undergraduate or graduate studies.
Through mentorship, creative collaboration, and hands-on professional experience, interns are given opportunities to develop their skills, explore their interests, and contribute to meaningful projects within Apsara Creative and its community partnerships.
Each internship is individually developed with the Owner of Apsara Creative to align the intern's personal and professional learning goals with the needs and vision of the organization.
Internships are currently closed.

overview
Our work brings art, culture, and community together through creative projects, educational programming, and collaboration. We strive to create new systems and spaces for learning that encourage creativity, strengthen human connection, and empower cultural identities.
Our Vision
Study
We believe meaningful work begins with curiosity, research, and reflection. Interns are encouraged to ask questions, investigate topics related to their interests, and develop a deeper understanding of their chosen field.
Study may include reading, research, observation, discussions, and critical reflection.
Practice
Learning becomes meaningful when knowledge is put into action. Interns are given opportunities to apply their developing skills through hands-on projects, professional responsibilities, and creative problem-solving.
We recognize that practice involves experimentation, challenges, feedback, and growth. Interns are encouraged to approach their work with openness and a willingness to learn.
Collaboration
We believe creativity and learning are strengthened through relationships. Interns work alongside Apsara Creative leadership, artists, educators, community organizations, and other collaborators.
Through collaboration, interns gain experience in communication, teamwork, accountability, and the exchange of ideas.
Our Approach: Study, Practice, Collaboration
Internship roles are developed according to the interests and learning goals of each individual, as well as the current projects and organizational needs of Apsara Creative.
Areas of internship experience may include:
Creative Design & Direction: Graphic design, publication development, branding, visual storytelling, and creative production.
Marketing & Communications: Social media, outreach, audience engagement, promotional materials, and communication strategies.
Community Engagement & Research: Community-based research, program observation, interviews, cultural documentation, and organizational development.
Arts & Cultural Programming: Exhibition planning, workshop development, event coordination, and arts education.
Writing & Editorial Development: Research, editing, storytelling, interviews, publications, and written documentation.
Internship Opportunities
Mentorship & Professional Support
A central purpose of the internship program is to provide interns with access to mentorship, creative resources, and professional guidance.
Interns work directly with the Owner of Apsara Creative or an approved project supervisor to establish expectations, develop learning objectives, and reflect on their progress.
Depending on the internship, support may include access to creative materials and resources, professional feedback, research guidance, project development, networking opportunities, and mentorship.
Each internship will include regularly scheduled meetings for supervision, collaboration, or co-working. The frequency and structure of these meetings will be established in the individual's internship agreement.
We aim to create an environment where interns feel comfortable asking questions, communicating challenges, and taking initiative in their learning.
Individualized Learning Objectives
Each internship begins with a discussion of the intern's educational background, professional interests, strengths, and areas for growth.
Together, the intern and Apsara Creative will establish learning objectives that guide the internship experience.
These objectives may be developed in coordination with an academic institution, community partner, or other sponsoring organization when applicable.
Learning objectives are intended to provide direction while allowing flexibility as the intern gains experience and develops new interests.
